Several monks still live on the grounds, which include a chapel and a cemetery. The frescoes are worth seeing, though they have a sad backstory: they depict the three children of the man who funded the construction, who died of the plague.

This church captivates visitors with its nostalgic charm. It is one of the older buildings and represents the time when Faliraki was still a fishing village. Church of Timios Stavros Metamorfosis

In the village of Kalithies, located eight minutes from Faliraki, a third religious site of interest awaits you. Built in the 19th century in the Byzantine style, the church commemorates the Transfiguration—“Metamorfosis”—of Jesus Christ.

Reportedly, it has neither healthy roots nor a stable trunk, yet it sprouts fresh green leaves every year.
