Faliraki sits on the east coast of Rhodes, just south of Kallithea — known for long sandy beaches, shallow turquoise water, family-friendly resorts, and one of the best bases on the island. In this post, I’ll present my personal selection of where to stay in Faliraki.
By Dirk Pohlers, Greece traveller from Germany. I visit every place I write about & share real tips, photos, & advice from my trips in my Rhodes Travel Blog.
Faliraki is the most flexible east-coast base in Rhodes if you are looking for sandy beaches, shallow water, and a mix of relaxation and activities — all in one place.

Faliraki offers accommodations to suit every taste: from apartments and vacation rentals to large all-inclusive hotels. Some hotels are located right on the coast, while others are set back in the 2nd row. Resort hotels are modern and comfortable. Some feature pools, children’s play areas, and a variety of added services.
In Faliraki, the perfect place to stay depends on your travel style: Those seeking peace and quiet who are fans of designer hotels will be well taken care of at the Casa Cabana near the town center, while beach lovers will prefer the Aquarius Beach Hotel or the Mitsis Selection Alila.

The larger hotels are located on the northern side of Faliraki beach while the southern part of the beach is dominated by smaller boutique style hotels and apartments. One of the most stylish and exclusive places I visited was the Cabu Hotel Faliraki.

Faliraki is divided into 3 areas from which you can choose:
Faliraki is perfect for a beach vacation. The beach is long and narrow, and the clear water slopes gently. Local water sports operators ensure plenty of fun on the water. Pedal boats, parasailing, or jet skis—you’ll find it all here.
Faliraki’s main attraction are its beaches. The resort’s coastline is typically divided into 4 sections:
We highly recommend the snorkeling trip to Anthony Quinn Bay, located 3 km from Faliraki. The turquoise and crystal-clear water in the small bay is breathtakingly beautiful!
Faliraki’s beachfront hotels are among the most luxurious—and most expensive—on the island. The hotels in Faliraki are a great choice if you’re looking for a five-star experience. Two of our top-rated hotels in Faliraki are the Blue Sea Beach Resort and the Bay View.

Esperos Village Blue & Spa – Adults Only is a unique five-star resort located directly on the coast along Faliraki’s sandy beach. There is a large infinity outdoor pool with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and complimentary towels. The resort features a fully equipped fitness center, a hot tub, massage rooms, and a sauna. Esperos Village Blue & Spa is located just 12 km from Rhodes Town, a 5-minute drive from Kallithea Bay, and 15 minutes from Diagoras International Airport.
I had an amazing stay in Esperos village. The hotel is amazing, the rooms are nice, staff friendly and super helpful and it is really peaceful

Bay View is conveniently located in the southern part of Faliraki. The hotel is just 20 meters from the beach and offers self-catering accommodations. All studios are air-conditioned and furnished with modern furniture. Free Wi-Fi is available, and each unit features a balcony overlooking the Aegean Sea. You will find modern apartments with nice terrace and free parking.
The area is very popular with water sports enthusiasts. The nearby marina offers numerous opportunities for short boat trips to the surrounding beaches. Bay View is just a short walk from local taverns, bars, and convenience stores. The capital of Rhodes, with its medieval castle, is about 15 km away, and the international airport is only 20 km away.
Faliraki Beach on Rhodes is primarily a long, gently sloping sandy beachwith fine, golden-yellow sand. There may be some fine gravel in a few spots or right at the water’s edge, but overall it’s ideal for swimming and walking barefoot.
The most beautiful beach on Rhodes depends on your personal preferences:
For a postcard-perfect setting: Anthony Quinn Bay on the east coast captivates visitors with its crystal-clear, turquoise waters and picturesque rocky backdrop. It’s ideal for snorkeling, but water shoes are recommended.
For families: Tsambika Beach is a kilometer-long, fine-sand beach with gently sloping waters and great water sports options.
For those seeking peace and quiet: St. Paul’s Bay, near the Acropolis of Lindos, is a wind-sheltered, breathtaking cove with two quiet sand and pebble beaches.
Faliraki is the liveliest resort on the Greek island of Rhodes. It is best known for its kilometer-long sandy beach, the vibrant nightlife on the infamous “Bar Street,” and a wide variety of water sports.
